Bake Sale at wayfair

Congrats and thanks to the "Wayfair Volunteer team" - serving our Community one day at a time-

wayfair is a Berlin based e-Commerce company that sells furnitures online. We welcomed their volunteer team last thursday for a "volunteering Day" at our facility in Schoneberg ( Cafe Connections). Adam, Samuel, Florence and Lucy along with some refugees, Omar, Idris and Hogir and our staff had fun spending the day serving our community.

The" Wayfair volunteer team" brought their smile, time and energy into our "on-site lunch" event. They made food they sold to their colleagues and helped raise 310 euros for our teen refugee programs ( Visioneers). The meal consisted in handmade bagels with salmon, veggie, salami and chicken, sandwiches with cheese and meat and finally homemade cheesecake and peach crumble dessert. Delicious!!! A Sold out event.

They even even made waffles on the spot : warm chocolate waffles topped with sugar glass. The event was a success and we thank both the employees and the management for their hospitality and support. On top of that, Wayfair management offered to generously match our benefit to 620 euros for our refugee and Costa Rica programs ( see http://www.visioneers.berlin/#!costa-rica-trip/c19z8) !!

We had a great synergy team between the "volunteer team", the refugees and our staff.

The volunteer team took our participating refugees and staff for an special company tour giving us a 360 degree of the work involves in selling furntures online all over Europe.

We promised we would come back again with more healthy goodies for the company "Wellness Week".
