3 months in Berlin
Three months after my arrival I have had one of the most enriching experiences in many ways, from learning a new language, to being able to understand a little of how to work with children and the dynamics of working in a kindergarten in Germany. My perspective of being a volunteer is to leave a legacy in the children and also educators where I am volunteering. In my case I have reoriented my knowledge in organic agriculture to be able to work with the children, like planting

Live, enjoy and learn from the process
I decided to call this blog this way, because I consider that participating in a volunteer work outside your country is a process, from the moment you decide to apply until the day you finish your task in that place, but it doesn't end there, because from that process you gain experience, strength, knowledge, lessons and even new people in your life. A new adventure
Hello my name is María Laura Calderón, I am 24 years old and I am starting a new adventure in Berlin, Germany by volunteering in "The colorful kids of the world", which is a bilingual kindergarten (German and Spanish) where I will share with many children, I will teach them and I will also learn from them. During these two months in Berlin my experience has been a constant learning and personal growth. From how to take public transportation to learning new words, every day represents a constant challenge and learning. In my experience working as a volunteer in a kindergarten I have also learned a lot about pedagogical techniques as well as a little bit more since the children turn out to be very good teachers thanks to their honesty to correct you when it comes to pronunciation

First Experiences
I am Katherine, from Costa Rica, but I live in Germany. I work as a volunteer in a kindergarten in Berlin, the last few weeks sharing with the team and the children has been a very enriching experience, where I am constantly allowed to learn and to cooperate. Both the team and the children come from many different countries, this has made me feel that I am not the only foreigner and also taught me that cultural differences mean nothing to those who empathise and are willing t

Gabriel tells about his experiences
Hello, my name is Gabriel Sánchez, I am 19 years old and I would like to tell you about this new stage of my life that has just begun. On July 4, 2021, I left my country Costa Rica towards Berlin because I succeeded in applying for a voluntary service at the "Missionscamp Oderbruch e.V.". The Missionscamp is a Christian camp that wants to introduce people to the message of Jesus' love, is open for families, children and youth, but also gives people like me the opportunity to
